Futurity

Do you have a young Haflinger you’d like to showcase? The OHA Futurity is the perfect way to promote your horse, earn recognition, and compete for prize money while supporting the breed in Ontario!

Nomination Fee: $25
Deadline: Postmarked no later than Zurich Fair – July 25, 2026. 
Eligibility: Open to Registered Haflingers, owned by OHA members.

How it works:

• Horses earn points at qualifying shows: Zurich Fair, Lindsay Fair, Ancaster Fair, Markham Fair, and Norfolk County Fair.

• Points are awarded from 1st through 10th place (10 points for 1st, 9 for 2nd, etc.).

• Winners in each age division (foal, yearling, and two-year-old) take home the Futurity prize pot, made up of 50% of nomination fees plus OHA donations!

Fill out the nomination form and mail it with your cheque (payable to Ontario Haflinger Association) to:
